As an ongoing research project, I (and others) have been compiling personal information on the men who died as a result of their service with the 28th Battalion. A Big "THANK YOU" to Stephen Houghton for providing the initial listing that started this process. While there is still a lot of work to be done, and information to be added, I've decided to post the first version of the data, that it may be of use to others, and perhaps encourage people to add to, or correct, the information gathered thus far.
The data is available in two forms, a Microsoft Excel spread sheet and a tab delimited text file that most spread sheet and database programs should be able to import. While a database program would be an appropriate choice for this type of data, Excel was chosen because most casual computer users have access to a spreadsheet program. Please let me know if you have any problems with these files and I will try to rectify them for you.
