Additional Info: Born on April 4, 1898 in Handsworth, Woodhouse, Yorkshire, England. He was 5'4" with brown hair and grey eyes and was working as a farmer in Tinsdale, Saskatchewan when he was enlisted in the 188th Battalion in Tinsdale, Saskatchewan on April 10, 1916. His father was John Vincent Sleight of Tinsdale, Saskatchewan. Private Sleight is commemorated on Page 327 of the First World War Book of Remembrance.
